Dawn’s roots stem from a small town in Saskatchewan, where she grew up immersed in the natural world. She is an Ayurvedic Practitioner and certified 200-Hour yoga teacher. Dawn completed ASP1 and ASP2 Ayurvedic Practitioner studies under Dr. Vasant Lad at the Ayurvedic Institute, and is currently furthering her studies in the Ayurvedic Doctor program. Alongside Ayurveda, Dawn’s background includes studies in Western herbal medicine, as well as a diploma in photojournalism. She weaves her education into creative expression by writing articles for The Northwest School of Aromatic Medicine. Dawn’s path also led her to work at a drop-in center for at-risk youth, where she gained experience with counseling and harm reduction. In this role, Dawn was reminded that medicine can be found in every moment through presence and compassion. In her free time, Dawn finds joy in traveling, practicing yoga, cooking, exploring the outdoors, and has a fervent love for forever learning and creating.
